Lena Hildebrand works as a consultant at Hamburg Institut in the field of climate neutrality and municipal climate protection. She develops climate protection strategies for companies and municipalities and prepares carbon footprints (PCF, CCF) in accordance with GHG Protocol, ISO standards and BISKO. Other focal points of her work include climate adaptation and the evaluation of municipal options for action.
Professional experience & qualification
With a Master of Science in Sustainability Science from Leuphana University, focusing on climate policy and municipal climate management, Lena Hildebrand brings a profound methodological and political understanding to her projects. As part of her master’s degree, she participated in a one-year transdisciplinary research project on municipal climate adaptation and worked with the district of Lüneburg to develop a practical guide for socially equitable participation processes in climate adaptation concepts. She previously studied journalism and strategic communication at bachelor’s level, with geography as a minor subject.
