Thies Paulsen supports Hamburg Institut in particular in the areas of heat planning and energy system modelling and analysis. During his bachelor’s degree, he already worked as a student trainee at LESER GmbH & Co. KG, including in technical sales and the design of safety valves for industrial applications.
As part of his bachelor’s thesis, Thies Paulsen investigated the interaction of components of smart grids to increase grid stability. He is currently studying for a Master’s degree in industrial engineering with a focus on energy and information technology at the University of Hamburg.
